St. John did not die here, but was only tortured. This took place in Rome before Porta Latina during the persecution of the Christians by Domitian. A church was built on this site, and I went into it in October of 2000, when I went to Italy. At that time I was not entirely aware of what I was witnessing. When you go through the Roman Forum many things are just stumps and rubble, such as the location of Julius Caesar`s assassination, but you can still feel energy of the event frothing from the stone.Friday, December 7, 2007
